The consistent feasibility of two topochemical reactions of [2 + 2] photo-cycloaddition and the reverse reactions without single crystal destruction in styryl dyes were first proved under visible light and short-wave UV-radiation, respectively. Crystallographic conditions for the preservation of single crystals in the course of these processes and the conditions for the formation of crystalline packs favorable for photo-cycloaddition were revealed.

During crystal chemical studies of peroxosolvates of organic compounds, the widespread phenomenon of isomorphic replacement of hydrogen peroxide molecules with water was established and structural criteria that make it possible were identified. Compounds containing dodecamer and pentamer clusters of H2O2 molecules were first structurally characterized.

The influence pattern of the electron-donor/acceptor properties of 2-arylbenzimidazoles on the optical and electrochemical properties of the Ir(III) complexes were revealed. Heterometallic complexes of Ni(II) and REE with various amino acids were synthesized and structurally characterized. It was shown for the first time that such compounds enable to separate REE ions between the complex cation and anion.
